Please spread the word that all are welcome to join a candlelight peace vigil on the Waltham Common (Main and Moody) this Friday evening (9/14) from 7-8PM. We want to express our sorrow for those whose lives have been tragically impacted by these recent terrorist actions and to promote our wish for a peaceful resolution of violent conflicts in the world. We hope you can come.
In case of rain, please gather at the First Parish Church, located near the common (see map).
Already there are reports of innocent people in this country being targeted by misdirected anger, such as Muslim individuals, mosques, and people of Arab/Middle Eastern descent. On the local talk radio station, several people advocated using nuclear weapons to put an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
