Pigeon Lane, in Waltham, Massachusetts

Pigeon Lane, in the hills overlooking Forest Street, has been the site of conflict between the "new neighborhood" and the "old neighborhood". This barrier was built by some residents who resented people passing through their neighborhood. It was partially destroyed by other neighbors with sledge hammers.

The new neighborhood features enormous houses on tiny lots. Here's a modest sized home in front of a "McMansion".

The neighborhood also contains a stunning example of the brilliance of the city's line painting crew. This stop line at the intersection with Juniper Hill Road puts vehicles on a collision course with ones coming the other way.
