  • January, 2011 - Moe's Southwest Grill plans to open a location on the corner with Francis Street at 831 Main Street on February 9. The building is the former site of Tony D's, which moved a block east on Main Street.
  • December, 2011 - Chipotle Mexican Grill has announced a new burrito restaurant to be built at the future retail complex at 1022 Main Street.
  • December, 2011 - Panera Bread intends to open a new drive-thru bakery-cafe at an undisclosed location.
  • December, 2011 - Five Guys Burgers and Fries plans to open a restaurant in Waltham in 2012.
  • September, 2011 - Habanero's Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar is open at 484 Moody Street, the former site of Tango Mango.
  • July, 2011 - Pho & Spice, a Vietnamese and Thai restaurant, is open at 457 Moody Street, former site of Hong Kong. Apparently the Hong Kong restaurant became China Star II sometime in 2010.
  • June, 2011 - NY Pie opened at the former site of Moody Street Pizzeria, 934 Moody Street.
  • Spring, 2011 - Kabob & Tandoor moved from 699 Main Street to 315 Moody Street.
  • May, 2011 - Erawan of Siam changed hands.
  • May, 2011 - Roberts Restaurant and Bar, at 342 Moody Street, is closed. Re-opening as the third location of Stadium Sports Bar and Grill is planned for fall of 2011.
  • April, 2011 - City Streets Restaurant, an "upscale casual pub", is open at the site of Legends Hall of Fame Grill.
  • March 29, 2011 - Mu Lan Taiwanese Restaurant has opened at 835 Main Street, the site of Beijing Star Restaurant, a local favorite that closed in September of 2010.
  • November, 2010 - A new Dosa Factory Restaurant is under construction on Moody Street.
